It seems that no matter where you are in life, you are
always waiting for the next best thing. I believe the biggest example of this
for me was in high school. I got so tired of the people and their drama, I just
wanted to leave. College seemed like the next best thing. I was waiting, hoping
to be somewhere where the people were mature and there would be less busy work.
College is not that way. Although there is less busy
work, there is more studying to do. And the drama, it doesn’t go away. Now, I
do like college and defiantly choose to be here, I just now realize how easy high
school was. I didn’t appreciate how nice it was until I had left.
I feel as though life itself is always this way. We focus
on out wants for the future instead of enjoying the now. We must learn to find
the simple things in life enjoyable instead of looking far into the future. I
now no longer think about how great the next step will be, exhausted in the
life im living. I look at college as hard but a great experience. I try to live
each moment as important.
